And here we go to the qualifier 2! A breathtaking match to decide who will play the final with CSK. The second qualifier of IPL 2021, scheduled at Sharjah Cricket Stadium was between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders. The winning team will play with CSK on October 15, 2021. So let’s take a look at the match summary. KKR players were in great relief as they restricted DC to just 135 runs. Poor batting performance by DC as they failed to create an impact. To start with the match, KKR won the toss and chose to bowl first. Things turned out in their way as the batting order of DC collapsed. In the second innings, KKR played elegantly and started off well. The openers set up a 96 runs partnership stand in 12 overs. Venkatesh Iyer smashed a gutsy knock of 55 off 41 balls at a strike rate of 134. Furthermore Shubman Gill knocked 46 runs and assisted the team to reach near the total. Despite a good start, KKR tumbled in the end overs as they lost 6 wickets in 5 overs. They lost 6 wickets for just 8 runs. Magnificent effort by DC bowlers as they gave a slight hope to the team. However in the last over, Rahul Tripathi sealed the win by smashing a six. KKR won the match by 3 wickets and 1 ball left.

The young opener Venkatesh Iyer bags the Man of the Match award for his incredible innings. He smashed 55 runs off 41 balls to give KKR a good start. So along with Shubman Gill, he set up a 96 runs partnership. His knock helped KKR to chase down the target. As a result, KKR won the match. Now KKR will play the final with CSK on 15th October at Dubai International Stadium. So buckle up for a roller coaster ride.
