“Charo Taraf Kohra hi Kohra”: Rajasthan Royals shares a hilarious meme video as the Kolkata bound players’ flight gets caught in turbulence

RR faces GT in Qualifier 1 on May 24

Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals have had a phenomenal run in IPL 15. With a lethal bowling attack alongside a hard-hitting batting line-up, RR have all bases covered as they are upbeat to reach the finals once again after 2008. Previously RR clinched their maiden title back in the inaugural edition of IPL led by charismatic skipper Shane Warne.

Qualifier 1 and Eliminator in Eden Gardens

RR reached Kolkata ahead of the Qualifier 1 clash against Pandya and his troops. However, the flight to the City of Joy was a not a pleasing experience for the team. Kolkata presently is experiencing a lot of thunderstorms after the sultry heatwave. The RR flight, unfortunately, got stuck in turbulence which surely made many feel anxious. However, the RR social media posted a video on the entire scenario that will surely leave you in splits.

The video shared on Twitter was captioned “Based on a true experience!”. It shows how the passengers and team members got nervous during the storm. And even displays of thunder from windows got captured. In the end, players like Devdutt Paddikal were moving out of the plane nodding their heads on how terrible the experience turned out for them especially before a high voltage match in playoffs. After landing, most players burst out in chants of “Halla Bol” the official cheer of RR.

Weather to be a foe?

RR will lock horns with Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 and whoever wins, gets to play in the finals. The weather forecast in Kolkata does raise eyebrows on whether full-length matches could be played or not. Interestingly, the AFC fixture between ATK Mohun Bagan and Basundhara Kings got delayed by an hour due to a severe storm.

If rain does play foul, GT will have an edge over RR. As they lead by 2 points in the standings. But fans will definitely hope that the iconic Eden Gardens gets to host both Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator in epic style and witness a stiff contest between the IPL heavyweights.
