South African wicketkeeper batsman Quinton de Kock and Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh joined the Seattle-based Seattle Orcas for the inaugural season of the Major League Cricket.
Having a rich experience in T20 cricket, Quinton de Kock is an unmatched addition to the orcas. The South-African has played 301 T20 matches in his career, notching a whopping 8768 runs at a strike rate well above 100. He has six centuries in his pocket in the field. Quinton is also well-equipped behind the stumps. De Kock, who announced a shock retirement from Tests last year, has played in couple of T20 franchises. The notable being the Mumbai Indians – where he won two titles.

Mitchell Marsh has been around cricket for a while now. Son of Geoff Marsh and Brother of Shaun Marsh, Marsh is a cutthroat all-rounder who can spearhead match winning knocks and spells. Marsh, an alluring prospect for the Orcas has had a stellar T20 career. he has scored 3693 runs and 70 wickets in T20. Mitch made news recently by firing 66 off 36 in the Australian victory over India at Vizag on Sunday. Marsh is also a part of GMR Groups’ Delhi Capitals for the 2024 Indian Premier League.
In addition to two quality International Signings, The Orcas performed equally good in the MLS Draft too. They commenced the draft by signing ex-U19 world cup champion Harmeet Singh. They bagged couple other good names in Shehan Jayasuriya, Angelo Matthews and Cameron Gannon. The squad boasts of experience in multiple T20 franchises, thus adding to the overall look of the team.
