The 2024 ATP season for tennis fans began with the best comeback in history. 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal made his comeback by playing in the Brisbane Open. Sadly, his comeback couldn’t last long due to an injury, but he will be back soon.
Nadal was clear with his comeback decision and said this might be his last season as a professional tennis player. Nadal had mentioned:
“There is a chance that it will be my last year, without a doubt. There’s a chance that it may only be for half a year; it may be a full year; it’s possible that we may not be able to reach all that.”
But tennis legend David Ferrer believes Rafael Nadal will play in the 2025 season.
Tennis legend David Ferrer said:
“Undoubtedly, knowing Rafael a little or a lot, if he does not have physical injuries, I am convinced that he will be competitive, and if he is competitive, he will continue for another year.”

Will Rafael Nadal compete in the 2025 season?
Coming back to play, Nadal had an aim in his mind. He aimed to play again and be competitive, not to win at Roland Garros or in Australia. He had even said that he wants to play in the 2024 Olympics, and his goal is to win the golden medal.
Undoubtedly, Nadal has worked very hard on his comeback. He can play in the next or even more seasons. But the only problem is his fitness and injury concerns.
The reason Nadal was out of the sport for a year was his injury. If he wants to compete until 2025 or even more, managing the workload is the only way. It is possible that he can play till 2025 unless he gets injured.
