Tom Hiddleston, who is known for his playing the character of Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently expressed his admiration for Andy Murray as well as revealed that the grit and determination of Rafael Nadal make him cry, while Roger Federer‘s playing style reminds him of legendary American actor and dancer Fred Astaire. The podcast clip was recently uploaded on Twitter.
“Do you love tennis as well?” the interviewer asked. “I absolutely love tennis. Yeah,” came Hiddleston’s reply.
“I’ve got tickets to go this year. And I’m so excited. Really excited,” the interviewer said.
“They say Rafa Nadal was a great footballer. Did you know that? I mean, like seriously, a proper talent. Wow. So it was like, does he play tennis and be the greatest ever? Quite, that’s the question,” Hiddleston said.
When the interviewer asked whether Nadal is Hiddleston’s favorite to which the actor said: “He makes me cry. He just is, he just, the determination,” said Hiddleston.
Hiddleston then compared Roger Federer to Fred Astaire due to the Swiss legend’s grace and elegance while playing tennis. The Thor actor then expressed his excitement to watch Britain’s Andy Murray play in the tournament.
Rafael Nadal visits Mallorca Championships as a fan
The Mallorca Championships welcomed a special guest on Tuesday. Rafael Nadal visited the tournament as a fan and sat in the first row to watch his friend Feliciano Lopez’s first-round win against Australia’s Max Purcell.
Nadal was joined by his wife Maria Francisca Perello, Marc Lopez, Carlos Moya, and Bartolome Salva-Vidal were also present. Notably, Lopez was playing his last ATP match of his career.
