Fifth-seed Stefanos Tsitsipas will be locking horns with Roberto Carballes Baena in the second round of the ongoing French Open on Wednesday (May 31) in Paris.
Tsitsipas knocked out Jeiri Vesely 7-5, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (9-7) in the previous round. Though he has been quite impressive this season, he hasn’t won a title yet. His best was reaching the Australian Open final where he was defeated by Novak Djokovic. Since that final, the Greek has featured in another final, in Barcelona where he was defeated by Carlos Alcaraz.
Meanwhile, Carballes Baena on the other hand, has won a title, in the Grand Prix Hassan but that was the lone trophy he won this season. He entered the round on the back of a win over Emilio Nava 7-6(7-5), 6-3, 6-2. Also Read: Iga Swiatek vs Cristina Bucsa Match prediction, head-to-head, preview, and live stream | French Open
