2nd-seed Aryna Sabalenka’s second-round match is against Iryna Shymanovich on Wednesday (May 31) in the French Open.
Sabalenka knocked out Marta Kostyuk 6-3, 6-2 in the first round. She entered the French Open after a second-round loss to Sofia Kenin in the Italian Open. She has been remarkable this season, having won Adelaide International 1, Australian Open, and the Madrid Open and featured in two more finals, in Indian Wells and Stuttgart Open.
