Elena Rybakina becomes the first Kazakh player to win the Wimbledon

History is again created on the Centre Court as Elena Rybakina defeated Ons Jabeur in her debut Wimbledon to become the first Kazakh player to win a major.

World No 23, Elena Rybakina became the first Kazakh player to win the Wimbledon title. She defeated World No 2, Ons Jabeur in the finals by 3-6, 6-2, 6-2. Rybakina competed in the Wimbledon 2022 as a 17th-seed player.

Elena Rybakina became the first-time Wimbledon finalist followed by first-time champion

The 23-year-old reached her dream final, into her first Grand Slam final after defeating outrageously the former World No 1, Simona Halep. It took only two sets to beat the one time Wimbledon champion on the centre court. Rybakina also eliminated the US Open 2020 champion, Bianca Andresscu in the early rounds.

This journey of her to win her debut final on one of the greatest court, Centre Court and defeating another debutant is just unbelievable for anyone. Even after, the first set drop with two sets break with her opponent Elena bounced back stronger than ever. She instantly broke Ons Jabeur’s first game to lead the second set with 2-0. It was also so surprising to see Elena not taking the advantage of three reviews. As she strikes just on the lines twice at 40-30 with one game lead.

Rybakina becomes the youngest Wimbledon champion since Kvitova in 2011

At the age of 23, Elena Rybakina breaks new records becoming the youngest champion in Wimbledon. Earlier, this record was held by two-times Wimbledon champion, Petra Kvitova in 2011. Even though she ranks at 23 in the World still she fought like a real champion. It was witnessed two debutant finalist intoany Grand Slam final after a quite long time.

It was pure talent of this young lady from Kazakhistan to win her first major title against one of the sensational player on tour.

Elena Rybakina records with 253 aces this season

The first time Wimbledon champion creates new records of hitting 253 aces. No player has broken the 200 aces record until Rybakina broke this year. Though she found it tough to strike aces in the first set against Ons Jabeur but she rose her level in the second set till the end.
