Veteran Hollywood actor Alan Arkin passed away at the age of 89 in California US. Arkin’s sons Adam, Matthew, and Anthony, in an interview to the People magazine, released the news about their father’s demise. In a statement given to the magazine, they said, “Our father was a uniquely talented force of nature, both as an artist and a man. A loving husband, father, grand, and great grandfather, he was adored and will be deeply missed.” He had a career spanning over six decades. He has won multiple prestigious awards such as Academy Awards, BAFTA Awards, Golden Globe Award, Tony Awards, etc. Arkin’s most recent work was in Netflix’s The Kominsky Method, which ran for three seasons. Arkin began his career with The Second City, a sketch comedy group. He also acted in a Broadway stage in the Joseph Stein play Enter Laughing in 1963. Some of his famous films include Catch-22 , The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming, Edward Scissorhands, Little Miss Sunshine, Wait Until Dark, Popi, etc. His performance in the movie Little Miss Sunshine, released in 2006, won him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
