NHL All-Star 2024: The Fan Votes Are In; Canadian Teams make most of it

Thanks to the enthusiastic support of NHL fans, The Maple Leafs and Canucks have multiple players in the NHL 2024 All-Star Weekend Roster.

NHL announced the remaining 12 members for the NHL All-Star 2024 Roster on Saturday. Maple Leafs’ forwards William Nylander and Mitchell Marner, along with defenseman Morgan Rielly, earned their places through the 2024 NHL All-Star Fan Vote presented by MassMutual.

The trio will join their teammate, forward Auston Matthews. Mitch Marner is making his third All-Star appearance. However, NHL Star Boy William Nylander and Morgan Reilly are set to debut in their first-ever All-Star appearance.

Meanwhile, the Vancouver Canucks will also boast a strong presence at the All-Star festivities. Forwards J.T. Miller (making his first appearance), Brock Boeser (second), Elias Pettersson (fourth), and goaltender Thatcher Demko (second) will join Quinn Hughes in Toronto.

The fan support was nothing short of impressive, with over 36 million votes cast during the eight-day voting period.

Thatcher Demko emerged as the fan favorite, leading all players with an impressive 1,398,699 votes. William Nylander topped all skaters with 1,393,578 votes. Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar also crossed the million-vote threshold, securing 1,065,367 votes.
