The Los Angeles Kings have signed star centre Pierre-Luc Dubois from Winnipeg Jets in exchange for forwards Alex Iafallo, Rasmus Kupari, and Gabriel Viillari, and Montreal’s 2nd round pick in 2024. The deal is for eight years and includes a $68M extension.
Pierre Luc Dubois is a highly talented ice hockey player hailing from Canada. Born on June 24, 1998, in Ste-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec, Dubois began making waves in the hockey world at a young age. In the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Dubois got selected third-overall by Columbus Blue Jackets. Known for his exceptional size, skill, and versatility, he has made significant contributions to the Blue Jackets’ lineup. He played alongside the Blue Jackets till the 2021 season after which he was traded to the Jets. Among his achievements with the Blue Jackets are the first-ever playoff hat trick for the franchise.
The 25-year-old is arriving from a career best season, fitting like a glove for the Jets. He scored 63 points from 73 games in 2022-23 season. Before Kings, Pierre-Luc Dubois have also dipped in Montreal waters. He even attended the last year’s draft in Montreal for a chance to play for the storied Quebec franchise.
