The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most successful teams in the NFL. They have won five Super Bowls, ten Conferences, and 25 Division Championships. Apart from these, they had qualified 36 times for the playoffs.
Sadly, in the past two decades, they have only won nine division championships and nothing else. Moreover, they have made 13 playoff appearances since their last Super Bowl championship. Things have even been worse for them since 2016, as they have had one of the best records but have also gone home with the division championship.
Last season was a similar season for them. They had a record of 12-5, the joint second-best of the season, and still lost in the wild card rounds. Some blame their quarterback, Dak Prescott, who has failed to deliver for the team in much-needed win games.
Looking forward to Dak Prescott’s future with the Cowboys, Larry Fitzgerald released a big statement.
Larry Fitzgerald said:
“The reason the Dallas Cowboys replaced Tony Romo with Dak Prescott in 2016 is because he couldn’t win the big games. And I am starting to see the same trend with Dak.”
For those who don’t remember, Tony Romo was the main quarterback for the Cowboys from 2003 to 2016. He spent his entire NFL career with them, and the same pattern is happening with Dak Prescott. Prescott began his NFL career with the Cowboys in 2016, and he replaced Romo.

Will the Dallas Cowboys part ways with Dak Prescott?
Prescott has represented the Cowboys in his entire NFL career. So far, he has made over 120 appearances for them and has started in every game. He has averaged 259.6 passing yards and 1.7 touchdowns per game in his career.
Undoubtedly, he is one of the best quarterbacks, and releasing him might be questionable. Moreover, there are no signs of a team releasing him.
But you never know. Fans have often seen unexpected trades and releases. Prescott’s contract with the Cowboys will expire in the 2025 season. Will the Dallas Cowboys release Dak Prescott? Let us know your views in the comment sections.
