Cavani started his career with Danubio in Montevideo, where he played for two years. In 2007 he moved to the Italian side, Palermo. He spent four seasons at the club, scoring 34 goals in 109 league appearances. Napoli signed Cavani in 2010. He won the Coppa Italia with the club, in which he was the top scorer with five goals.
