Isaiah Thomas unmasks FAKE media reports about joining Lakers

Isaiah Thomas denies claims of him making a comeback for the lakers

Earlier on Saturday, Michael Scotto reported that the Los Angeles Lakers had finally realized they were weak on wings and had just brought in free agents Jeremy Lamb, Dwayne Bacon, Miye Oni, and Shabazz Muhammad for workouts.

Isaiah Thomas calls out fake reports

Shortly after, he reported that Isaiah Thomas, Armoni Brooks, Sharife Cooper, and Mychal Mulder had all worked out for the team. When Thomas heard the rumour, he immediately rushed to Twitter to reject it and ask Scotto who his source is, as he voiced his disgust with the phoney news.

“No, I did not train for the Lakers!!!!” What SOURCE informed you about this? “Smh,” wrote Thomas. For what it’s worth, Isaiah Thomas’ workout with the Lakers was first questioned. As its previously stated, his prospects of making the Los Angeles Lakers roster are slim, considering that the team recently acquired two guards, dealing for Patrick Beverley from the Utah Jazz and signing free agency playmaker and scorer Dennis Schroder is without a team going into the new season

Thomas is heading into the season without a team

Isaiah Thomas, who is still a free agent, is trying to establish himself in an NBA club in 2022-23. According to Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto, the former Boston Celtics guard was among a group of free agents that worked out for the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. Last season, Thomas appeared in 22 games for the Lakers, one for the Dallas Mavericks, and 17 for the Charlotte Hornets. The 33-year-old averaged 8.4 points and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 40% from the field.

If Thomas contracts with L.A., it will be his third tenure with the team. Since being traded by the Celtics to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017, he has played for seven different clubs. Thomas was named to two NBA All-Star teams during his three years with the Celtics. With numerous notable performances, including a 53-point explosion in Game 2 against the Washington Wizards, he guided Boston to the 2017 Eastern Conference Finals. That remains the Celtics’ second-highest postseason point total in franchise history.
