Imagine being 18 years old and getting a call from the Ferrari team to race in an F1 Grand Prix. Moreover, getting only one practice section, qualifying P11, finishing P7, and winning the Driver of the Day. Yes, all this is not imagination because Oliver Bearman did it in the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
The youngster was called to make his F1 debut as Ferrari racing driver Carlos Sainz was diagnosed with appendicitis. Sainz was hospitalized, and Bearman replaced him for the Grand Prix. He impressed everyone with his performance, and Charles Leclerc is one of them.
After Bearman finished seventh in the race, Charles Leclerc praised him and made a statement that many of us might agree on.
Ferrari racing driver Charles Leclerc said:
“I guess it is just a matter of time before Oliver Bearman comes here in F1!”

“Seventh in your first F1 race, and he only got in the car in FP3. It’s just hugely impressive. Everyone has noticed how talented he is. I guess it is just a matter of time before Oliver Bearman comes here in F1!”
After this race, Oliver Bearman might be a name in F1 team discussions for a driver in 2025. Moreover, Bearman is standing 10th in the 2024 F1 Championship with six points and might be ahead of a few drivers on the grid.
