While all of these dramas were happening, Christian Horner was also going through the allegations. Well, this is not it; now there are rumors of Max Verstappen leaving Red Bull and joining Mercedes.
Is Max Verstappen leaving Red Bull and joining Mercedes?
The reason for the Verstappen rumor is because of Christian Horner and Jos Verstappen. Horner was under investigation for inappropriate behavior with one of the crewmates. Now, after a proper investigation, he has been proven not guilty.
But Jos Verstappen isn’t happy and said:
“There is a tension here while Horner remains in position. The danger of being torn apart. It can’t go on the way it is. He is playing the victim when he is the one causing problems.”

That’s a big statement and can create conflicts within the team. As a result, rumors of Max Verstappen leaving Red Bull and joining Mercedes are around.
Moreover, when the Red Bull F1 team racing director was asked about this potential transfer, he said something that might shock you.
Helmut Marko said:
“I will not stand in the way of Max Verstappen!”
This is pure cinema! If things are sorted between them, it will create a toxic environment for the team. All of these will indirectly affect Max Verstappen’s relationship with Red Bull.

But will Verstappen leave Red Bull and join Mercedes?
Mercedes is in search of a driver for the 2025 season, as Lewis Hamilton is leaving them. They have a big list of drivers who can join them, and everything depends on their performance. Moreover, if Max Verstappen is on the list, they might prefer him first.
Verstappen is a world-class driver, and we know what he has been doing since his F1 debut. His journey in Formula 1 began with the Red Bull Formula 1 team, and he is still part of them. But leaving Red Bull won’t be his decision right now.
Red Bull is currently the best team on the grid and will be until 2025. Moreover, his contract with them is until 2027. However, the contract period is still a statement because changes can happen overnight.
But we won’t see Verstappen leaving Red Bull after the season. Things could go another way, but at the moment, Verstappen will race for Red Bull. Maybe in the upcoming seasons or after 2027, we might see him racing for Mercedes, Ferrari, or any other team.
