After the news of Victoria Lee’s death broke out, anti-vaccination activists started claiming on social media that the cause of The Prodigy‘s death was due to COVID-19 vaccine sudden adult syndrome (SADS). It has now become a norm for anti-vaccination activists to blame the death of athletes on the COVID-19 vaccine.
But did Victoria Lee die from suicide? “On December 26, 2022, our family experienced something no family should ever have to go through….,” Victoria’s sister Angela Lee wrote in an Instagram post on January 7, 2024, after Victoria’s obituary was published by Valley of the Temples Memorial Park in Kaneohe, Hawaii. “It is incredibly difficult to say this…Our Victoria passed away,” she added.
Angela did not reveal the cause of her sister’s death. But in her post, when she advised everyone to check on their loved ones and to tell them how much they mean, many have claimed that Victoria took her own life. Victoria Lee’s official cause of death is currently unknown.

Victoria Sun-hei Lee was born on May 17, 2004, in Wahiawa, Hawaii, to a South Korean-born Canadian mother, Jewelz Lee, and a Singaporean Chinese father, Ken Lee. Her father and mother have been martial artists for a very long time. They have even opened several gyms. Her sister Angela claimed One women’s world championship in 2016, which also made her one of the youngest MMA world champions. While her brother Christian made his debut at the age of 17, in 2015. Victoria signed a contract at the age of 16, on September 30 for One Championship’s Atomweight division. But she made her debut next year on February 26 and defeated Sunisa Srisan in the second round. In her short career, he has featured in just three matches. The teenager took a break from her professional career to focus on her studies. After she graduated from high school last May, she said she would focus on MMA and she was slated to compete in her fourth MMA fight against India’s Zeba Bano on January 14 in Bangkok.
