It is the dream of every fighter to become a double champion and rule in both divisions. But only four fighters, i.e., Daniel Cormier, Conor McGregor, Amanda Nunes, and Henry Cejudo, have achieved double champs’ status. The UFC currently doesn’t have a double champion, but there are possibilities for two UFC Champion vs Champion fights.

Two UFC Champion vs Champion Fight on the Table?
In the past few weeks, Sean O’Malley has called out Ilia Topuria. Similarly, Islam Makhachev expressed his interest in fighting Leon Edwards.
Things conclude that we might get O’Malley vs. Topuria and Makhachev vs. Edwards on the UFC fight card.
Currently in UFC,
- O’Malley is the bantamweight champion.
- Topuria is the featherweight champion.
- Makhachev is the lightweight champion.
- Edwards is the welterweight champion.

If any of these fights are on the table, we might witness a UFC Champion vs Champion fight. But things look difficult because almost all of them have fights against different opponents in the upcoming months.
Sean O’Malley’s next fight is against Marlon Vera at UFC 299. Ilia Topuria recently became the new UFC featherweight champion and might face Merab Dvalishvili.
Islam Makhachev is yet to have an opponent. Similarly, Leon Edwards defended his title at UFC 296 and is ready for a new challenge.
