Most wins in one F1 season
1. Max Verstappen: 15 wins
Red Bull racer Max Verstappen holds the record for most wins in one F1 season with a total of 15 wins. In the 2022 season, he won 15 grand prix out of the 22 grand prix and had a win percentage of 68.18%.
2. Michael Schumacher: 13 wins
The GOAT of F1 ranks second on the list with 13 wins. This was the first time in Formula 1 history that a driver had won 13 Grand Prix in one season. It happened in 2004, when he won 13 races out of 18 races. In that season, he had a win percentage of 72.22%, which is the third highest in F1 history.
3. Sebastian Vettel: 13 wins
The German superstar and a legend of racing leveled the record of 13 wins in one F1 season in 2013. Sebastian Vettel was unstoppable in that season and created history by winning nine consecutive Grand Prix in one season. Which was later broken by the next driver on the list.

4. Max Verstappen: 12 wins and more
The reason why 12 wins and more are mentioned is because it is the current F1 season. The 2024 F1 season is going to be remembered after Max Verstappen and Red Bull’s dominance. Out of the 15 grand prix so far, Verstappen has won 12 of them. He has a win percentage of 80%, which is also the highest by a driver in one season.
5. Michael Schumacher: 11 wins
For the second time, Schumacher is on the list with 11 wins in one season. It happened in the 2002 F1 season when a driver won more than 10 races in one season. Out of 17 grand prix, Schumacher had won 11 of them, for a win percentage of 64.71% in that season.
5. Sebastian Vettel: 11 wins
Similarly, we have Sebastian Vettel back on the list with 11 wins in 2011. The Red Bull racer won 11 races out of 19 races and had a win percentage of 57.89% in that season.
5. Lewis Hamilton: 11 wins
To be honest, the list felt incomplete without the Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton. Not only once, twice, or three times, but Lewis Hamilton has 11 wins in four different F1 seasons. 2014, 2018, 2019, and 2020 when he did this and also won the F1 driver’s championship as well.
