ICC ODI World Cup Winning Captain

A total of 12 ICC ODI World Cups have taken place, and 10 different captains have lifted the trophy. The West Indies legend Clive Lloyd led his team to win the first ever ODI World Cup, and he did it twice. The 1975 and 1979 ODI World Cups were won by the West Indies team, and Clive Lloyd captained the team both times.

Well, he was going to lift the trophy for the third time, but he lost the finals against India. The Indian cricket team was led by Kapil Dev and won the 1983 ODI World Cup. They defeated the Mighty West Indies team.

After the Indian cricket team lifted the trophy, the next three World Cups were won by three different teams and three different captains. Allan Border led Australia to lift the 1987 World Cup, Imran Khan led Pakistan to win the 1992 World Cup, and Arjuna Ranatunga led Sri Lanka to lift the 1996 World Cup.
