Manchester City Transfer News: Kovacic has agreed terms with Manchester City, Chelsea interested in Laporte.

Kovacic has agreed terms with Manchester City

According to reports, Mateo Kovacic’s transfer to Manchester City is imminent. The Chelsea midfielder reportedly reached a personal agreement with the Citizens earlier this month. The West London club was apparently eager to negotiate a possible price with the Citizens following the recent Champions League final. Considering that City finished the season with three new titles, there has been a recent development about their interest in Kovacic.

The Croatian joined Chelsea on a temporary loan in 2018 after playing more than 100 times for Real Madrid. He signed a permanent £40 million transfer to Stamford Bridge. The 29-year-old played 221 times in all competitions while at Chelsea, scoring six goals.

The Citizens is moving towards a contract to hire Josko Gvardiol

One of the most sought-after defenders in the world, Guardiola, is wanted by several teams, and Leipzig wants a hefty compensation to release him. However, City are in the lead when it comes to personal terms. The city is progressing in its negotiations to get the Croatian and may also sign Mateo Kovacic, his teammate, at the same moment. Naturally, City’s action on this deal will be a setback for Liverpool, rumored to have recently placed their name in the pot for Gvardiol. He has long been regarded as one of Europe’s top young defenders. Also Read:Top 5 Football News of the Day:7 June 2024

Chelsea interested in Laporte

Aymeric Laporte has been mentioned in connection with Chelsea under Mauricio Pochettino. Chelsea wants to sign Aymeric Laporte from Premier League rival Manchester City during the summer transfer window. In order to get more playing time, the 29-year-old defender wants to leave the Triple Crown champions. After all, Laporte is now a member of City’s starting lineup. For the Citizen’s past season, the defender made three starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League in addition to 11 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League.

Manchester City demands a huge fee for their midfielder from Psg

Manchester City would seek a hefty payment from PSG in order to acquire midfielder Bernardo Silva this summer. Two of Pep Guardiola’s key players, including Bernardo Silva, might depart Manchester City this summer as PSG and Barcelona pursue trades for both of them. PSG has rekindled their interest in Bernardo, while three teams are vying for the services of Ilkay Gundogan, who will become a free agent at the end of the month unless Manchester City and the German international reach an agreement on a new contract.
