The Brazilian tennis superstar, Beatriz Haddad Maia, had the best tour of her career during the 2023 WTA Elite Trophy. She won both the singles and doubles championships and scripted history in the WTA Elite Trophy. One of the most interesting facts about her successful campaign was that she didn’t lose a single set in both categories.
Her journey in the singles championship was just magical. She had a losing streak before entering the tournament but defeated all the top-seed players in the 2023 WTA Elite Trophy. She defeated
- Caroline Garcia and Madison Keys in the qualification round
- Daria Kasatkina in the semi-finals
- Qinwen Zheng to lift the singles championship

On the other hand, in the doubles championship, she and her partner, Veronika Kudermetova, defeated
- Oksana Kalashnikova and Yana Sizikova’s team in the qualification round

- Later in the finals, they defeated Aldila Sutjiadi and Miyu Kato to lift the championship
Most importantly, she won all the matches in straight sets and didn’t lose a single set in both categories. Truly, she scripted history and became a double champion in WTA Elite Trophy history.
