The Man United and Brazilian star winger Antony Santos have been dropped from the squad. The Brazilian National Football Team dropped the player with immediate effect after he was accused of domestic abuse and violence. His ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, claims that she was attacked by Antony in a Manchester hotel room.
As per the report, this incident took place on January 15, 2024. She was left with a headbutt, which required treatment from the doctor. So, after the accusation became a hot topic, Antony replied to the claims from his ex-girlfriend.
Antony’s statement of the accusations
“Out of respect for my fans, friends, and family, I feel obligated to speak publicly about the false accusations I have been a victim of”.
The player clearly mentioned that he is 100% confident and knows all the accusations are false. He also denied every version of the accusations made by Gabriela Cavallin and stated:
“I trust the ongoing police investigations will reveal the truth about my innocence.”
The player also spoke about their toxic relationship, which had more verbal abuse from both sides but never any physical aggression. He has stated that she has shown different colors of herself in every interview, which shows her fakeness and is proof of wrong accusations.
