RB17, The F1 inspired $5 million supercar

Red Bull Technologies announced their intention to design a brand new hyper car. The car is reported to deliver the “ultimate track experience”. The RB17 gives away hope and excitement to the race and road lovers.

The designer behind it makes the car more special. The original creator of Aston Martin Valkyrie will design the hyper car too. It is none other than Adrian Newey who helped in 7 drivers championship and 3 constructor teams. Newey was born in Stratford-upon-Avon in 1958 and is a famous F1 engineer.

“The RB17 distils everything we know about creating championship-winning Formula One cars into a package that delivers extreme levels of performance in a two-seat track car,” says the British engineer. We were all wondering why Red Bull skipped from RB16 TO RB18. Now we have an answer to that question.

We currently have only an outline sketch of the model. Red Bull however slipped some details. A hybridized V8 with over 1100 BHP will power the car. It’ll also use a carbon-composite tub. Furthermore, the hyper car will feature ‘the most advanced ground effect package available in a series production car’.

Christin Horner, the Red Bull and Advanced Technologies CEO said that, “The RB17 marks an important milestone in the evolution of Red Bull Advanced Technologies, now fully capable of creating and manufacturing a series production car at our Red Bull Technology Campus,”. He added that “Further, the RB17 marks the first time that a car wearing the Red Bull brand has been available to collectors.”

Cost of RB17

The starting price is $5 million before taxes, so you’ll need at least £6 million to get your name on the list. However, that price will also give you access to the Red Bull F1 team’s simulator and plenty of on-track instruction from a squad that has a history of racing success. Considering how quickly the RB17 will undoubtedly move, it might also be required.
