Following the dismissal of the charges against the 21-year-old, Mason Greenwood has been added to Manchester United’s most recent Premier League squad list. The football player’s criminal case has been dropped, according to a statement released by Greater Manchester Police on February 2. Charges like Assault, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and attempted rape were all brought forward by the same woman on Mason Greenwood.
Since the dropped charges, the player has been added to the team’s updated 2022–2024 Premier League squad list. After the January transfer window closed, Premier League teams were required to submit their updated squad lists.
On January 22 of last year, Greenwood played his final match for United against West Ham. The football player was arrested on January 30, about a week later, and the club has suspended him ever since. Since making his first-team debut in 2019, he scored 35 goals and 12 assists in 129 appearances for the team. Greenwood’s suspension from practice and competition has been extended pending the conclusion of United’s investigation, the club announced.
