Rodri releases controversial statements on the Ballon d’Or voting

Last year’s Ballon d’Or produced various controversies. Lionel Messi won the Ballon d’Or ahead of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe. Moreover, the difference between the winner, Lionel Messi, and the runner-up, Erling Haaland, was 105 points. After the announcement of Messi with such a rating, several questions were raised about the Ballon d’Or voting, and Rodri is one of them.

Manchester City midfielder Rodri said:

“I am not surprised about me finishing 5th in Ballon d’Or voting. They are based on marketing, money, and advertising.”
