Ronaldinho, the former Barcelona teammate of Lionel Messi, has advised him against retiring from football in 2024. Messi will have one more chance at World Cup glory this weekend when Argentina takes on defending champions France in the 2022 World Cup final.
The 35-year-old has already stated that he will not play for La Albiceleste in the 2024 World Cup, but he is unsure about his international future.
He could play in the Copa America 2024, which Argentina currently holds, while his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires in June.

However, as speculation about his retirement continues, Ronaldinho has stated that he could continue to play for many years.
What did Ronaldinho say about Lionel Messi?
“This is his last World Cup, I was convinced of his return to the national team, and he is going to do everything possible to win it”, as per an interview with L’Equipe, reported via Marca.
“In my opinion, he could play until he is 50 years old because he has a quality that others don’t have.”

What is Messi’s plan after the FIFA World Cup 2022?
PSG are keen to extend Messi’s contract for another year, but there are options for a move to the MLS if he decides not to stay in Paris.
Messi is unlikely to make an immediate announcement about his plans, with PSG confirming he will take a break after the World Cup and not return to training until early January.
