Shocking News for France as Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate fell ill just before the Grand Stage of the World Cup Final

The French team has been one of the most affected by illnesses that has plagued teams throughout the competition.

Prior to the 2022 World Cup final, two new players are apparently sick with the same virus that earlier in the tournament afflicted the France team. Didier Deschamps, the manager, is now highly concerned about Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate before the match against Argentina.

Virus hits Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate 

Raphael Varane of Manchester United and Ibrahima Konate of Liverpool are the newest French athletes to contract an illness before the World Cup final versus Argentina on Sunday.

The French team has been one of the most affected by illnesses that has plagued teams throughout the competition.

Dayot Upamecano and Kingsley Coman of Bayern Munich were also unused substitutes after suffering injuries. Adrien Rabiot missed the semi-final victory over Morocco entirely.

FFF Statement on Varane and Konate Illness

Varane, Coman, and Konate will not train on Friday and would instead complete their work in the gym. According to a statement from the FFF released later that day before training.

“Ibrahima Konate, Kingsley Coman, and Raphael Varane will not participate in today’s collective session on the field but will work out in the gym instead.

Nothing to support the rumor The English virus spread to France

After the quarterfinal, last Saturday, the hypothesis that they caught the virus through interaction with the England players gained traction. Declan Rice skipped training that day due to illness, but he did not exhibit the same symptoms.

They questioned it as to why the Football Association requested that journalists wear masks while speaking with players in the mixed zone, but it wasn’t a unique request. The FA insisted on that throughout the competition, including during interviews at their practice facility.
