FIFA World Cup 2022: Qatar Squad, Captain, Coach, Star Players, Possible Line-Up

Qatar squad for FIFA 2022 and other information.

In their first World Cup stint, Host nation Qatar has enough pressure. They have to prove themselves that they are more than a confederational champion and will do whatever it takes

Almoez Ali and Akram Afif make up a strong attacking duo for them, and their team is well-organized and cohesive. It is also undoubtedly a strength for the squad and manager to have grown up together through the age groups. A team made up entirely of players from the Qatar Stars League cannot avoid having a complete lack of experience at this level, despite the fact that they have generally performed well in international friendlies and had to defeat Saudi Arabia, South Korea, the UAE, and Japan to win the 2019 Asian Cup.

With 160 international matches under his belt, Hassan Al Haydos is the captain. The team is a good mix of youth and experience. Three years later, following the Asian victory, Sanchez noticed quite a few players.

Qatar’s World Cup roster is made up of players from the QNB Stars League, with half coming from Al Sadd.

The hosts will try to avoid South Africa’s fate, which remains the only host nation that did not advance past the first round.

With Senegal, the defending African champion, and Ecuador in Group A, the hosts will attempt to advance to the knockout round. On November 25 and November 29, they play Senegal and the Netherlands, respectively.

Qatar Star Players

 1. Hassan Al Haydos

Al Haydos, a playmaker who can also play on the right wing and in central midfield, was one of Qatar’s standout players during their 2019 Asian Cup victory. He has matured at Al Sadd under the guidance of Jafal Rashed Al Kuwari. Due to his undeniable technical skill, he will undoubtedly be one of Al Annabi’s shining lights this World Cup.

On September 10, 2008, Al-Haydos made his senior national football team debut for Qatar against Bahrain in a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying game. Since then, he has made 146 appearances for the national team and scored 32 goals, making him the most-capped player in Qatari football history and tied for the fourth-highest goalscorer with Mohammed Salem Al-Enzi.

 2. Akram Aiff

Akram Afif is a skilled player who can play both the left and right-wing and, on occasion, even take the offensive lead.

Afif has extensive experience playing in Europe as a result of his time spent with several Spanish teams, as well as Belgium’s OH Leuven. He currently plays for Al Sadd, a team where he has a significant impact on the league. They chose him as the best player in the Qatar Stars League despite a slight decline in performance since April.
