This was the last league stage of the 2021 season, a must-win game with a big margin for MI. They won the toss and elected to bat first, as they wanted to put big runs on the scoreboard. Two of Mumbai’s brightest talents, Ishan Kishan and Surya Kumar Yadav, contributed the most with the bat.
Kishan smashed 84 runs off just 32 balls at a strike rate of 262.50. On the other hand, SKY scored 82 runs off 40 balls and had a strike rate of 205. With some crucial contributions by other teammates, Mumbai scored 235 runs, which is their highest total score in history.

2. 223/6 against the Kings XI Punjab in 2017
This inning of 223/6 came against the Kings XI Punjab (Punjab Kings) in 2017. Mumbai won the toss and decided to ball first. The Punjab team came with all guns blazing and scored 230 runs. Thanks to their opening batsman, Wriddhiman Saha, who scored 93 runs off 55 balls.
In return, Mumbai’s opening batsman gave a good start until the first wicket fell in the 9th over at a score of 99. Following that wicket, it was a total collapse by the middle order, and it was 121/4 in the 13th over.
