  • 5. Shubman Gill’s 2nd International ODI Century

The young opening batsman scored his second ODI century in against Sri Lanka in the third ODI. His selection was questioned since the first match when he was picked ahead of Ishan Kishan. But Gill didn’t let the critics raise a single question about his selection. In the first match, he scored 70 runs and in the second he scored 21 runs but couldn’t continue his starts in both ODI Matches. Whereas in the third match, he his second international ODI century which was his first on Indian soil.   • 4. Dasun Shanaka’s Century

Dasun Shanaka was in great form since the T20i series against Indian and continued his form in the first match. He came when Sri Lanka was way down and was to lose by a big margin but he had other plans. He has a slow start but soon converted them into boundaries at regular intervals. Dasun Shanaka scores an unbeaten century of 108 runs off just 88 balls including 3 big sixes and 12 fours.

  • 3. Mohammad Siraj Wicket taking spell

Mohammad Siraj was the key player behind Indian Victory in every match and especially the third ODI, he picked 4 wickets and gave only 32. The bowler’s 10 overs spell consisted of everything, boundaries, maiden overs, and most importantly wickets. The first wicket which he picked was of Avishka Fernando in the first over. Later in the second and the fourth over he picked the wicket of Nuwanidu Fernando and Kusal Mendis.   • 2. Virat Kohli’s 74th International Century

Virat Kohli made his comeback in ODI scoring two centuries but his 74th International Century was the special one. The majestical innings comprised 166 runs off just 110 balls at the strike rate of 150.91. There was no area where runs were not scored by him additionally, the innings had a total of 21 boundaries [13 fours and 8 sixes].

  • 1. Biggest Win Margin in ODI Cricketing history

Team India created a World record by winning over 317 runs margin against Sri Lanka in ODI. India posted a total of 390 runs including Two centuries by Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli with a strong knock by Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer too. Later it was the Indian team bowling department that took the Sri Lankan team. Mohammad Shami and Kuldeep Yadav both took two wickets but it was Mohammad Siraj who took four wickets and a runout, resulting in a win of 317 runs.
