Rishabh Pant jumps 25 places up in ICC ODI Batting Rankings due to his knock of 125*(113) in the 3rd ODI against England. He is currently sitting at 52nd position in ICC ODI Batsman Rankings. All-Rounder Hardik Pandya also jumped 8 places up due to his knock of 71(55). He moved from 50th position to 42nd position. Hardik Pandya moved to 70th position after picking 4 wicket haul in 3rd ODI. Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal also moved to the 16th position as he picked 4fer and 3fer in 2nd & 3rd ODI respectively.

South African batsman Rassie Van Der Dussen moved to 3rd place in the latest ICC ODI Rankings. It has been his career-best rating in ODI Rankings. He scored his 3rd Century in ODI Cricket. He scored 134(117) against England in the 1st ODI at Chester-le-street. This was his highest score in ODIs too. Dussen has a healthy average of 74.95 in ODIs. Van Der Dussen is also sitting at No. 10 in ICC T20I Batting Rankings. Dussen has been the consistent run scorer for Proteas in recent times.

South Africa go 1-0 up in the ODI Series
Rassie Van Der Dussen was awarded Man of the Match for his knock of 134 off 117. Aiden Markram also scored 77(61). Markram also picked 2 wickets. Opener Janneman Malan scored 57(77). It helped South Africa to post a huge total of 333-5. South Africa won the 1st ODI comprehensively by 62 runs. Johnny Bairstow 63(71) and Joe Root 86(77) showed some fighting spirit but it was a huge target to chase. Anrich Nortje picked 4 wickets.
