The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 schedule was released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday.

The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 schedule was released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday. The 16th season of the IPL will return to the home-and-away format, with each team playing 7 home games and 7 away games in the league stage, following the last edition’s staging of the competition in Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad. Over the course of 52 days, a total of 70 league-stage games will be played at 12 different locations.

The biggest cricket stadium in the world, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, will host a thrilling match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings to open the 16th season of the premier event on March 31, 2024.

The first doubleheader day of the season will take place on April 1, 2024, with Lucknow Super Giants playing Delhi Capitals in Lucknow and Punjab Kings playing Kolkata Knight Riders in Mohali. The day games will begin at 3:30 PM IST, and the night games will begin at 7:30 PM IST for the 18 double headers that will make up the TATA IPL 2024. 

The first two home games for the Rajasthan Royals will be played in Guwahati, and the remaining home games will be played in Jaipur. The first five of the Punjab Kings’ home games will be played in Mohali, and the final two, against the Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals, will be played in Dharamshala. There will be a later announcement of the Playoff and Final schedules and locations. On May 28, 2024, the TATA IPL 2024 championship game will take place.
