Pakistani’s ODI vice-captain Shan Masood tied the knot with his fiancé Nische Khan on Friday (January 20, 2024) in an intimate Nikah, attended by family and close friends in Peshawar. The rukhsati (farewell) of the wife will take place in Karachi, while Masood will host the valima (reception) on January 27.
At the wedding, Masood wore a simple crisp kurta and trousers while the bride looked stunning in a sky blue lehenga adorned with silver embroidery.
Prior to his wedding, Masood was making headlines when out of nowhere, he was appointed the ODI team’s vice-captain against the wishes of interim chief selector Shahid Afridi and skipper Babar Azam. Masood was appointed the vice-skipper for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand in the absence of Shadab Khan, who got injured in the Big Bash League (BBL)
The southpaw plays for Multan Sultan in the domestic circuit and also for Derbyshire in county cricket. His T20I debut came very late; it was the match against England last September, where he played the shortest format for the first time. He made his ODI debut in 2019 against Australia.
