Results of the June 23 episode of SmackDown from Cajundome in Lafayette are here as The Usos appeared prior to their match against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa next week. Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler faced Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre in a Women’s Tag Team Title Unification match.Â
The Civil War begins
The Usos show up to kick off Friday night SmackDown to continue the Bloodline saga, after Jey’s anticipated superkick to Roman Reigns last week. They delivered a great promo to address the civil war.
Jimmy assured his younger brother that he made the absolute perfect choice while the crowd gave a loud pop. After admitting their love for Reigns and family, Jey said the Tribal Chief messed up by disrespecting them. The Usos also mentioned Paul Heyman as ‘the biggest snake’ knowing the wise man has been manipulating the Undisputed Universal Champion, before welcoming Solo and Reigns to the Uso’s penitentiary. The Usos sold their Money in the Bank match well with a great start to the show.

Rey Mysterio vs. LA Knight
The Hall of Famer took on LA Knight in the first match of the night. The match was decent but had a sloppy finish. A huge win for Knight as he pins Rey Mysterio after converting a wheelbarrow bulldog into Blunt Force Trauma. The momentum is with Knight, who could possibly be Mr. Money in the Bank next week. Santos Escobar chased him away before checking on the leader of LWO. The crowd reaction for Knight has been great lately.

Women’s Tag Team Unification match- Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler vs. Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre
Ronda and Baszler faced Dawn and Fyre in a good match to unify the NXT and WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Dawn and Fyre continue to impress in the ring but were eventually forced to submit after Ronda applied an arm bar on Dawn and her partner was caught in a Kirifuda Clutch by Shayna. Post match, Raquel Rodriguez, who was sitting at ring side, asked for a rematch for the titles they never lost, to get joined by a returning Liv Morgan. Commendable effort for elevating and making the Women’s Tag Titles relevant.
