Michael John Avenatti was born on February 6, 1971, in Sacramento, California. He attended Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, Missouri. After his graduation, he had gone to Saint Louis University for one year but later, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. He attended the George Washington University Law School later and graduated in 2000.

He started at a research group which was a political opposition research and media firm. But, he became famous for representing Stormy Daniels (an American pornographic actress) against the then U.S. President Donald Trump. Avenatti also worked for U.S. President Joe Biden‘s Senate campaign.
Notably, he is a also professional race car driver and participated in races in Europe and U.S. He competed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2015.
Avenatti has also been charged with domestic violence but he claimed that the allegations were made to harm his reputation. Recently, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison for stealing millions of dollars from his four clients.
