The month of July will begin with yet another grass-court tour. After the ending of the Wimbledon season in London, England now it will be followed by the seventh ATP Tour. Infosys Hall of Fame Open 2022 is an ATP 250-level tour. It is scheduled from 11th July to 17th July excluding the qualifiers round played one week prior to the scheduled period. Infosys Hall of Fame Open is also well known as Newport Open. It is an international tennis tournament held in the month of July in Newport, Rhode Island. The winner of the Newport Open 2022 will be awarded prize money of $594,950 for this year. The prize money has always fluctuated over the years.
This tournament comes under the ATP 250 series and is the last grass-court season to be played outside Europe.
Newport Open 2022 top seeds
Last year Kevin Anderson was the Newport Open 2021 champion defeating Jenson Brooksby. This year Andy Murray will also compete against many top players of which the top seed is Felix Auger-Aliaasime. Also, the Wimbledon 2022 Doubles champion, Max Pursell is also competing in both Singles and Doubles.
Andy Murray will be competing for the first time since 2006. John Isner and Maxime Cressy have been already into the round of 16.
