Tennis sensation Nick Kyrgios from Australia will appear in court on an assault charge, his attorney confirmed to the Canberra Times on Tuesday. Authorities in Canberra, in the Australian Capital Territory, issued a statement but did not name the player.
On Wednesday at Wimbledon, Nick Kyrgios is scheduled to play against Cristian Garin of Chile. He had reached this point at the All England Club seven years ago and the 2015 Australian Open, making this his third longest run at the  championship.
What charges are up against Kyrgios?
Due to allegations of assault, a domestic violence organization has demanded that he be disqualified from the competition.
It is regarding the accusation involving his former partner in December of last year.
Instead, the domestic abuse organization Solace Women’s Aid demands. That the Tennis figure should receive a ban from the illustrious competition.

Police statements on Nick Kyrgios assault case
“ACT Policing can confirm a 27-year-old Watson man is scheduled to face the ACT Magistrates Court on the 2nd of August in relation to one charge of common assault following an incident in December 2021.”
The allegations include Kyrgios’ ex-girlfriend Chiara Passari, according to the newspaper. Kyrgios might receive a two-year prison sentence if the accusations are to be true.
 Barrister Jason Moffett who represents Kyrgios quoted, “Given the matter is before the court. He doesn’t have a comment at this stage, but in the fullness of time we’ll issue a media release.”
Wimbledon and ATP authorities on the case
“We are aware of the legal procedures surrounding Nick Kyrgios in Australia, and as these are ongoing, we are not in a position to provide a comment,” an All England Club representative said of the tournament’s organisers.
The representative further stated: “We are in contact with Nick’s team, and he still has tomorrow’s quarterfinal match scheduled.”
The ATP is aware of the Australian case involving Nick Kyrgios, but as legal procedures are continuing, additional comment would be inappropriate at this time, a representative for the ATP men’s tennis tour stated in an email.
Nick Kyrgios clashes with the Authority rules in the past
The world number 40 received a fine of 4,000 dollars for swearing during Saturday’s tense match with Stefanos Tsitsipas. 10,000 dollars (£8,260) for admitting to spitting in the direction of a fan. Who heckled him during the first-round match against Paul Jubb.
