Rohan Bopanna creates history at the French Open 2022: Reaches his 1st men’s doubles semi-finals at the Rolland Garros.

16th seed Rohan Bopanna and his Dutch partner Matwe Middelkoop reached the Semi-finals of the French Open 2022 on Tuesday beating Glasspool and Heliovaara 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (3).

This will be Bopannas 1^st Grand Slam men’s doubles semi-finals since Wimbledon 2015 and his 1^st semi-final ever at the French Open.

For a place in the finals, Bopanna and Middelkoop will have to beat 12th seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Jean-Julien Roger.

Bopanna would very much like to add another grand slam title to his name. The only grand slam he ever won was at the French Open only, where he won the mixed doubles title in 2017.

42-year-old Bopanna and his 38-year-old partner have had a great French Open. They also upset 2^nd seed Mektic and Pavic in the second round.
