Suniel Shetty IPL Team – Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty is a huge sports fan. The 60-year old is regularly seen at various sporting events such as the Pro Kabbadi League and Khelo India. His association with sports is such that he was roped in as the anti-doping brand ambassador for NADA in 2019.
Despite his association with many different sports, Shetty’s love for cricket overshadows them all. His passion for the Gentleman’s Game is quite evident on his social media accounts. Does Suniel Shetty Own an IPL Team?
Although Suniel Shetty is a huge fan of the IPL, unlike his fellow colleagues Sharukh Khan and Priety Zinta, he does not own a team. However, Sunil Shetty is the co-founder of his own cricket league known as, ‘Ferit Cricket Bash’. Shetty is also a top player in the Celebrities cricket league where he captains the Mumbai Heroes.
Throughout the years, Shetty has supported many franchises with the latest being the Lucknow Super Giants. On Sunday, Shetty was seen at the Wankhede Stadium cheering the KL Rahul-led side with his family.

Although Shetty was seen passionately cheering the Lucknow side on, the reasons for his allegiance towards the LSG were questioned. As Shetty’s daughter Athiya and KL Rahul are no longer rumoured beaus, Twitter has its take. While some fans had comical takes others supported Shetty.
