The motorsport world was shocked as Lewis Hamilton announced his exit from the Mercedes F1 Team after the 2024 season. He will represent them throughout the 2024 season and join Ferrari in 2025. “It is clear that I have good links with Mercedes. I need to focus on what is on track. If that goes well, then we always talk through things. That is what happens when you do a good job.”
The French driver has been part of F1 since 2016. Moreover, he was a reserve driver for the Mercedes F1 Team in 2019. Interestingly, his contract with the Alpine F1 Team will expire in 2024.
This places him ahead of every driver on the grid for the Mercedes seat.

Esteban Ocon F1 Career
The French racing driver, Ocon, began his F1 career in 2016 with the Manor Racing MRT. Later in 2017, he joined the Force India F1 team on a two-year contract.
In his first season with Force India, he scored 87 points and finished 8th in the drivers’ championship. Moreover, he didn’t have a single podium finish that season.
Later, he joined Mercedes as a reserve driver. In the next season, he joined the Renault F1 Team and is currently part of the Alpine Team. So far, he has one win and three podium finishes in his F1 career despite not being in a championship contender car.
