The 2024 ATP season finished on a high note. Not because of Djokovic’s dominating performances but after the news of Nadal’s return to the court. Rafael Nadal had announced that he would be competing in the 2024 Brisbane Open. And yes, he made his comeback by defeating Dominic Thiem and Jason Kubler at the 2024 Brisbane Open.
Sadly, he lost to Jordan Thompson in the quarterfinals and was out of the tournament. It was a great contest between both players, but Thompson had the upper hand in the final set. Well, the reason was that Nadal had a muscle tear during the game.

Hi all, during my last match in Brisbane I had a small problem on a muscle that as you know made me worried. Once I got to Melbourne I have had the chance to make an MRI and I have micro tear on a muscle, not in the same part where I had the injury and that’s good news.

Nadal will be out of the game for at least two months. As mentioned above, he wants to be 100% fit and be at his best in the upcoming months.
