Evander Kane orchestrated a remarkable comeback for the Edmonton Oilers with his 7th career hat trick. The Oilers secured a dramatic 4-3 victory against the Seattle Kraken after coming back from 1-3.
Under the guidance of new coach Kris Knoblauch, Connor McDavid continued his scoring streak. The Edmonton-native found the net for the second consecutive game after an eight-game goalless spell. Goaltender Stuart Skinner played a pivotal role, making an impressive 33 saves.

Kane’s heroics unfolded in the final minutes of regulation, with two crucial goals. The latter came with just 46 seconds remaining and the Edmonton net empty for an extra attacker. This forced the game into an exhilarating overtime period.

Jared McCann, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, and Alex Wennberg scored for the Kraken, who, despite their efforts, suffered a third consecutive defeat.
The Oilers are on a three-game winning streak. They have 11 points from 14 games, thankfully not the second-worst team in the league anymore. The Oilers have jumped two positions to the 4th worst team. The Sharks have 5 points while Preds and Blackhawks are tied on 10 points.
Seattle, who finished 4th in the division last season, haven’t found their rhythm yet. They have a meagre 14 points with a 5-8-4 record in 17 games. Apart from two games against Canucks, Kraken have mildly weak opponents like Sharks, Islanders in the their next six games.
On the other hand, Edmonton faces Lightning in their next game. The game will be followed by tough opponents, Hurricanes, Panthers, and Capitals.
