The Brazilian footballer Thiago Silva is one of the best center-back players in Brazilian history. He debuted professionally with RS Futebol in 2002 and has competed in various football leagues worldwide for over two decades. Well, recently, in an interview, he revealed that he may retire from football in the upcoming seasons.
Thiago Silva said,
“The end of my career is getting closer… It’s not easy at all for me!”
He also concluded by saying, “You’ve got to think about when you want to retire, where do you go as a final club, the family, my kids play at Chelsea.” I’m just focused on enjoying my final year of contract at Chelsea. I don’t know what’s going to happen next year, but I’m very happy with my career.
Silva had signed a one-year extension contract with the club before entering the 2024–24 season. His contract with Chelsea will expire in 2024, and he might end up as a free agent.
Well, he has truly had one of the best football careers. He represented a total of eight different clubs in his football career, making more than 600 appearances collectively. He was a part of RS Futebol, Juventude, Porto B, Dynamo Moscow, Fluminense, AC Milan, PSG, and currently is a part of Chelsea. On the other hand, in international football, he made over 100 appearances for the Brazil national football team.’
