Seattle Kraken can’t get a break; loses 4-1 to Rangers at home rink

In a Saturday night matchup that spelled disaster for the Seattle Kraken, the New York Rangers seized a resounding 4-1 victory. Artemi Panarin exhibited scoring prowess with two goals, and Filip Chytil orchestrated the team’s success with three crucial assists.

Adding insult to injury for the Kraken, Kaapo Kakko and Alexis Lafreniere both mercilessly buried the puck in their net, leaving no room for hope. It was a particularly grim night for the Kraken, as their offensive struggles persisted. Kraken find themselves in yet another paltry one-goal performance, following the familiar pattern in four out of their five games this season.

In the crease, the Kraken’s goaltender, Philipp Grubauer, managed to fend off 23 shots, but it was far from enough to stem the Rangers’ offensive onslaught. The Kraken found themselves overwhelmed, outplayed, and ultimately outclassed by the formidable Rangers.

Veteran goaltender Jonathan Quick starred pretty great for the Rangers as he made his first win with the New York outfit. Quick made 18 saves and recorded a point 947 SV%.

Filip Chytil and Kaapo Kakko earned some career milestones at the Emerald City. Chytil scored his first career three point NHL game while Kakko joined the 100 career points milestone.

Rangers are now the second-best team in the Metropolitan Division with 6 points (3-2-0) from 5 games. Meanwhile, Kraken is 6th in Pacific Division with 3 points (1-4-1) from six games. Kraken will be playing next on Tuesday’s Frozen Frenzy against in-form Red Wings. Meanwhile, Rangers will be looking to extend their streak against Calgary Flames.
