Italian tennis star at risk of the ban before Wimbledon after attending Inter Milan vs Man City final

Fognini is a die-hard Milan Fan so he flew away to Turkey where the Champions League final was held.

Italy’s Fabio Fognini could face a ban from tennis ahead of the 2024 Wimbledon Championships for missing the doping after attending the Champions League final between Inter Milan and Man City.

Fognini is a die-hard Milan Fan so he flew away to Turkey where the Champions League final was held. According to SportMediaset, the doping official arrived at his home only to find he was not there. This is for the second time, Fognini missed the doping test.

And though his favorite team lost the match, he is now under heavy pressure of whether he will get punished severely or not. Though he has never gone past the third round at the All England’s Club, he would have tried to do better this time. Last year, he fell to Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor in the first round of Wimbledon. Fabio Fognini previously expressed his passion for Inter Milan

Fabio Fognini, as per Mirror, has previously expressed his passion for Inter Milan club saying all of his family members are also the club’s fans. The Italian said Ivan Zamorano is his idol.

My family is full of Inter fans. Inter for me means passion. I grew up watching the likes of Ronaldo and Christian Vieri but my idol was Ivan Zamorano. I always like Marco Materazzi due to his determination.

“As a fan of Inter, I rejoice and I get angry. When you care about one thing those are the reactions, but being a sportsman I also understand what’s behind it and the variables that can lead to one result over another.

Meanwhile, including Fabio Fognini to play Wimbledon could be controversial. The grass-court Grand Slam has already been dealing with the pressure for allowing Russian and Belarusian players to compete this year. They have previously banned the players from both countries due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and lifted it this year.
