The Polish tennis player, Hubert Hurkacz, defeats Andrey Rublev to win his second master’s title at the Rolex Shanghai Masters. The match went down to the deciding round of the final set, and Hurkacz defeated him by 710-68.
Winning the Masters has definitely boosted his confidence, and now he has a higher chance to qualify for the upcoming ATP finals. He not only won the tournament but also added 1,000 points to his ATP singles rankings.
On the other hand, it was a heartbreak for the Russian tennis player, Andrey Rublev. He lost the first set of the finals, and it was an endgame for him. But he made a great comeback in the second set and was going to script one of the best comebacks in history. Sadly, he couldn’t manage to win in the deciding round of the final set and ended up as a runner-up.

Andrey Rublev currently stands fifth in the ATP singles rankings. Whereas, Hubert Hurkacz has made a big jump from 17th to 11th.

The Polish superstar won his first career title in 2019 at the Winston-Salem Open. Later in 2021, he won his second career title at Delray Beach. This wasn’t his only title in 2021. He also won the 2021 Miami Open and the 2021 Metz. The Miami Open was his first Masters title, which he won by defeating Jannik Sinners in the final.
Later in 2022, he won his fifth career title by defeating Daniil Medvedev in the Halle Open. Well, that was his only title in 2022.
Following the next season, he won his sixth career title at the Marseille Open. On October 15, he won his second Masters title and his seventh overall by defeating Andrey Rublev in the Shanghai Masters.
