Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov exited midway through the third period after being taken down to the ice. Despite the 25-year-old being put down by Winnipeg Jets defenseman Logan Stanley, Wild won the game 4-2.
The Russian haven’t gone through an evaluation yet and his future in this season is currently unpredictable. Kaprizov has been instrumental in the journey of the Minnesota outfit. There’s no doubt an extended absence will diminish the side’s chance at Stanley. Kirill has notched up 39 goals this season, the highest for the Wild this season. In the game against Jets, he also paved way for his 35th assist this season before exiting.
Kaprizov hasn’t missed a single game this season. He has scored 21.8% of the Minnesota goals this season. He has 74 points already, predictions going for a 100 point season for the Russian. The impact he had on the team is high and the Wild can’t have him not on the ice.
Wild is currently tied with Dallas Stars for the top spot in the Central Division. The chances of a top spot will ensure them a wildcard match-up instead of a higher-placed team.

Minnesota has some tough opponents in the upcoming games. If Kaprizov is out too long, Minnesota Wild might as well say goodbye to the Stanley Cup chances. The upcoming fixtures includes Bruins, Devils from the Eastern Conference. They are also facing Vegas Gold Knights, top-spot in the Pacific Division, twice. Wild are also playing the past winners Avalanche in the coming days.
Nevertheless, Minnesota Wild is a good team with a lot of potential. One of the most interesting scenes in the upcoming matches will be Wild’s formation of Kaprizov can’t play.
