The Arizona-born Purdy was selected as the 262nd pick at the 2022 NFL Draft, making him the Mr. Irrelevant of that year. He made his career start with a win over Brady’s Buccaneers and recorded the first ever TD pass by a Mr. Irrelevant.
Purdy, at a young age of 24 years and 46 days, is making his second season in the NFL. A year ago, he almost had a chance to become the youngest before Eagles defeated the 49ers in the NFC Championship.
