Imagine being undrafted in an NFL draft and later getting called by a team. Yes, the Illinois Fighting Illini Football Team quarterback, Tommy DeVito, faced a similar situation. He was undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft but was later signed by the New York Giants as a free agent. He did not get many opportunities at the start of the season, but after week 8, he became one of the main quarterbacks on the team. Well, he shares his experience from his first NFL season with the Giants.
New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito said:
“When you are up, everybody loves you. When you are down, everybody hates you.”
If we look at DeVito’s performance in the ongoing season, he has been inconsistent. He has been the MVP on a few occasions, but he has also been the worst player in a few games. Well, we cannot blame him for all of these. Because every team plans strategically against each player, you cannot have an A+ grade on the scorecard. But this is his first season, and he will improve as the game progresses.
